"Athletics has always been a big part of my life. I competed in
Olympic weightlifting and was eighth in my weight class at the US
Nationals. In 1996 I was benched by a serious low-back injury. I
dragged myself to lots of traditional doctors and therapists trying

I went on to become two time collegiate national champion in 1997
